In need of some relaxation...

Today i decided to use my birthday vouchers for an aromatherapy massage at Kalmora Spa located in Debenhams, Plymouth. I have to say that i have been to a lot of Spa's with my mum which has involved a lot of aromatherapy massages and facials, however my massage today was one of the best i have had.
My masseuse 'Chloe' was so professional. As soon as i walked into the spa i was greeted and welcomed. I had to sign some paperwork informing them of any health problems and medication which is the usual when having any form of treatment. Chloe made sure that i was alright about her putting oils on my face due to my acne which i listed on my form showing true customer care, that really impressed me.
The waiting room was so relaxing in itself with pillows and a sofa with a bowl of flowers and pebbles with candles and a range of the products on the shelves. It smelt so amazing. I was a bit concerned about it being in a department store because i thought it would be noisy, but i was wrong. You couldn't hear anything apart from relaxing music and running water...utter bliss! As she took me to the room, it was all so pretty with the brick work and flowers with a dim lit light, like an underground tunnel making me feel relaxed before i had even had the massage.
The massage...
After getting ready, i was given a few minutes to get into the mood and relax with beautiful music in the background...It was a mixture of Hindu, Native America and Zen music which is a lot different to what i have listened to in the past, such as sounds of the ocean. One spa...well i'd call it a 'beauty clinic' decided to put on Coldplay!! I like Coldplay but not when i'm about to pay £45-£50 for a massage, definitely wasn't impressed there.
The table was heated which was nice as usually i feel the cold when the towel is moved, i feel a chill but i didn't this time which was nice, and my nose usually gets so cold that i become agitated and uncomfortable as it's awkward to move when they are mid massage! Under the table where the head hole was, they placed a bowl of warm water with a floating flower and pebbles which contained a mixture of essential oils such as Eucalyptus and Lavender, i guess it was to aid inhalation and relaxation which i thought was a lovely idea. The massage lasted about an hour and a half, and i was so relaxed at the end. She applied the right amount of pressure which was quite firm for me as i have been hunched over my laptop for the past few weeks so i was aching quite a bit. I was given a mini facial and a mini head massage where essential oils where rubbed through my hair. I don't usually like this part as i dislike feeling oily and having greasy hair, but considering everything else was perfect i decided to go ahead with it and i didn't regret it that is for sure!
After the massage i was given some water and given all the advice about keeping the oils on my body for as long as i can as well as drinking plenty of water. It was so professional, she didn't talk through it but was extremely friendly. I felt really comfortable. And i am so tired right now...i just want to sleep which means it has well and truly worked wonders on me!! I really recommend Kalmora Spa and i especially recommend the Aromatherapy massage for relaxation and aching muscles.
